A) Objectifs de l’engagement
Pursuant to the Geneva Conventions and their Additional Protocols, and recognizing the dissemination of IHL as a priority, Austria and the Austrian Red Cross pledge to continue their good cooperation in organizing seminars disseminating IHL for professionals and volunteers in fields relevant to IHL, students as well as journalists and other opinion leaders. Given recent development, special attention will be given to:
1) Current international events and developments and how IHL relates to them
2) The relationship between IHL and international human rights law
3) Applicability of and compliance with IHL and international human rights law.
B) Plan d’action
Evaluation criteria in 2019: At minimum 3 seminars were held. Professionals and volunteers in fields relevant to IHL, students as well as journalists and other opinion leaders have received an education in IHL.
