  1. Has your State/National Society/Institution incorporated the commitments contained in this resolution into the relevant strategic or operational plans?

    Yes

    The commitments are incorporated into:
    Strategy
    Operational plan

At the International, Regional, National level

    Explanation:

A new 6-year national programme of protection against natural and other disasters 2024-2030 has been drafted. It follows the already established principles, while at the same time takes into account the recommendations and commitments of Resolution No. 7.

Slovenia is also a party to the Food Aid Convention, under which it makes an annual humanitarian contribution of at least 30,000 EUR through the WFP. In 2023, Slovenia significantly increased its contributions for food security, earmarking a total of EUR 1.84 million for WFP and addition 50.000 EUR for FAO.

Water remains one of our key priorities in the field of developmental cooperation and humanitarian aid. In 2023, we supported three development projects related to access to potable water in Uganda, Ruanda and Sudan and allocated additional support to three humanitarian projects focusing on food security in Uganda, South Sudan and Sudan for a period 2023-2025. In addition, Slovenia is a big promotor of pollinator diplomacy and continues to advocate for the role of bees and other pollinators for food security while sharing our vast beekeeping knowledge and technology.
