The Zambia Red Cross Society reviews its contingency and response plans for the years until 2025 to ensure that restoring family links is meaningfully reflected as a service of the National Society, and that it is integrated in a multidisciplinary response to meet the needs of people affected.

Cooperation between States and National Societies
The Zambia Red Cross Society will reinforce its dialogue with the Government of the Republic of Zambia (GRZ) to ensure a clearly defined role for the National Society in the country’s disaster preparedness plans and/or disaster risk management laws and policies, including its function related to RFL services. The Zambia Red Cross Society sensitizes the authorities on RFL needs and services and, when relevant, discusses findings of RFL needs assessments in official meetings with concerned departments. Action plans are established for follow-up.
