A) Objectives of the pledge:
In order to help address the needs of separated families and the families of missing persons, the components of the Movement must be able to rely on a strong network and close cooperation with States. This Pledge aims to strengthen this network, the partnerships between its members, and the mutual support between them and their national authorities.
This Pledge aims to ensure the strength of the Jamaica Red Cross to increase cooperation, coordination and information exchange at both operational and strategic levels. The Jamaica Red Cross will share good practices, develop tools and ensure implementation.
B) Action plan:
Individual National Society actions and cooperation between National Societies
- The Jamaica Red Cross ensures that its management and all relevant departments are fully aware of the Restoring Family Links Strategy 2020 – 2025.
- The Jamaica Red Cross includes RFL as a focus area of its international cooperation, including international cooperation conducted with other National Societies.
C) Indicators for measuring progress:
The Jamaica Red Cross will carry out dissemination meetings on the Restoring Family Links strategy (2020-2025).
The Jamaica Red Cross will create a RFL network nationwide that will disseminate the Restoring Family Links (2020-2025) on Branch Level.
The Jamaica Red Cross will participate in virtual or face to face regional or international meetings related to Restoring Family Links Strategy (2020-2025).
D) Resource implications:
Jamaica Rd Cross volunteers and staff trained in RFL.
Information Technology to carry out training, information management and data protection.
Support and technical advice from the ICRC for the development of audiovisual material and content for social networks, cooperation, coordination and knowledge transfer.
