Cruz Roja Española ha elaborado una propuesta sobre la protección de los bienes culturales en caso de conflicto armado que se encuentra pendiente de presentación en la Comisión Española de Derecho Internacional Humanitario. Esta propuesta contiene las actividades gubernamentales dirigidas al cumplimiento de las obligaciones derivadas de la normativa humanitaria que regula la protección de los bienes culturales en caso de conflicto armado. Concretamente, la posible inscripción de bienes culturales españoles en el Registro de Bienes bajo Protección Reforzada y su posterior señalización.
