    Au International niveau

    Précisions :

To promote the implementation of disaster laws and policies, the German Red Cross (GRC) has supported the cooperation between the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and IFRC in this area. In 2019, 2022 and 2023 several projects have been supported by the BMZ.

Moreover, the GRC focuses on the development of disaster management approaches and their dissemination, contributing to the implementation of the Resolution (operative paragraph (OP) 15). As the sustainable implementation of disaster legislation is an important priority for international cooperation, GRC projects with funding from the BMZ support sister National Societies and government agencies in implementing disaster laws and policies more effectively (OPs 4, 12 and 13). The GRC works closely with the IFRC in countries where the IFRC is active in this area. Regular meetings on disaster risk reduction are taking place in Red Cross Red Crescent working groups and exchanges on disaster laws have increased in the context of formats addressing anticipatory humanitarian action (OP 13).

    Description des incidences :

The commitments of the Resolution inform GRC strategies and operational plans.
