Mesures prises:

Austria reaffirms its commitment to promote knowledge of IHL within the young generation. Workshops between two (2) and four (4) hours (depending on the age of the participants) regarding the project “Exploring Humanitarian Law” at educational colleges and general at educational institutions. These workshops are tailored for students (educational colleges) and children at schools (aged between 12 and 18).

During the period (September 2015 – June 2019), workshops were held as listed:

  • Educational institutions (schools): 231 workshops, 4.620 children
  • Educational colleges: 52 workshops, 1.040 students/pedagogues
  • Workshops in cooperation with the Ministry of Education as part of the political education campaign: 3 workshops, 60 participants
