For the record: Voices from the Conference

During this plenary session, Conference members (States, National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, ICRC and IFRC) and observers have the opportunity to deliver formal statements with regard to the themes of the Conference. It is an official plenary of the Conference, and the statements delivered during this session will be captured verbatim in the official record of the Conference.

The For the Record: Voices from the Conference session will be chaired by the chair of the International Conference or the vice-chair. 

Speaking time is limited to three minutes for individual delegations, and five minutes for groups of delegations.

Official statements can be delivered in the working languages of the Conference, namely English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Russian and Chinese. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided (Chinese interpretation upon request). Statements can be made by any conference participants, including observers.

To facilitate interpretation, speakers are recommended to share their written statements either by providing a hard copy or sending an electronic copy to conferences@rcrcconference.org at least 30 minutes before the assigned speaking time. The record will only reflect the actual speech delivered.

Delegations that would like to make a statement during this session are required to register in advance to secure a time slot. Speaker registration will start on 1 October and involves completing a registration form

The speakers list will be published on 23 October at the conference venue and online, and updates will be provided regularly.
