Slovenia has already adopted the Protection Against Natural and Other Disasters Act (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia No. 51/06 – UPB, 97/10, 21/18 – ZNOrg and 117/22) which stipulates in Article 74 that a single enquiry service for collecting, informing and recording information on those affected by natural and other disasters, including in a state of emergency or war, is organised and carried out by the Slovenian Red Cross.

The topical issue on the Tracing Service was discussed at the session of the CoJur (EU Working Group on Public International Law) in Prague in 2022. The issue was also discussed at the Vienna 2023 Regional Conference of European National IHL Committees, where the Slovenian representative presented inter alia the Slovenian legal framework.
