A) Objectives of the pledge:

Implementation of the Plan of Action 2018-2021 on the elimination of Nuclear Weapons

  •  To raise awareness about the danger of their use

What led us to make this pledge:

  • Nagasaki Appeal
  • Nagasaki Plan of Action
  • CoD Resolution 2017

B) Action plan:

Coordinating with the Lebanese Government on the need to adhere to the 2017 Treaty on Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) in order to urge them to sign and to adhere to the treaty.

C) Indicators for measuring progress:

This is an on-going process as coordination with the Government in that regards is already in place. LRC has sent 2 letters to date explaining the importance of such a Treaty, urging the concerned to sign and ratify especially that this is an implementation of the RCRC Movement according to the CoD Resolution and Plan of Action.

D) Resource implications:

No Specific Resources are required.
