B) Action plan:

  1. Continue to adhere to the provisions of the four Geneva Conventions and the two Additional Protocols and other instruments of international humanitarian law to which China is a party; respect and vigorously promote the public awareness of the Fundamental Principles, and work with all relevant stakeholders to address the humanitarian challenges; further promote the work of the National Committee of the International Humanitarian Law of China, improve the study on international humanitarian law and promote dissemination of international humanitarian law;
  2. Enhance cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC); actively participate in international humanitarian aid operationsto better assistvulnerable groups with humanitarian principles as the core;
  3. Support the work of the Red Cross Society of China, encourage the Society’s participation in the International Red Cross Movement and China’s humanitarian assistance abroad, and encourage the Society to play its unique role as auxiliary to the government in humanitarian assistance;
  4. Actively promote and implement relevant resolutions of the 33rdInternational Conference.
