    Explanation:

    In our strategy 2020-2023, we included a specific reference to the work to disseminate and support the Swedish authorities to implement IHL.

    We have incluede a reference to dissemination and support to the Swedish authorities on the implementation of IHL in our advocacy program.

    We have also included this work in our operational planning.

    Examples of cooperation:

    In particular in the context of the building up of the Swedish Total Defence, we have been in continuous dialogue with public authorities to ensure knowledge and understanding of relevant IHL rules, as well as commented on legislative proposals and other relevant documents. We have carried out dissemination sessions, lectures and workshops.

    We are part of several working groups together with ICRC and other NS. For example, we have contributed to the project to produce an interactive film for the dissemination of knowledge about IHL, lead by the Danish Red Cross.  

    We have organised seminars together with thew Swedish Defence College and given lectures on IHL at several academic institutions.

    Lack of personell and funding to respond fully to the increasing interest and requests both internally and externally.

    Description of the impact:

    Our dissemination efforts have led to a increased interest and a better understanding of relevant IHL rules.

    Our support to authorities has led to better implementation of IHL in the Swedish context
