Dare the effect of natural disasters and outbreak of infectious due to the effects of climate change

A) Objectives of the pledge:

The Japanese Red Cross Society (JRCS) will make best use of its knowledge and expertise derived from its ample experiences of international and domestic disaster responses in mitigating the damage caused by possible large-scale disasters and outbreak of infectious diseases due to the effects of climate change. While fulfilling an auxiliary role for the government, the JRCS will also engage the affected people of disasters in its disaster response activities, as well as promote and disseminate skills and knowledge for community disaster preparedness in peace times.

B) Action plan:

The JRCS will take measurable actions based on the Strategic Framework followed by the Long Term Vision of our society.

C) Indicators for measuring progress:

The JRCS will measure the progress on implementation based on the evaluation plan of the Strategic Framework followed by the Long Term Vision of our society.
