Austria actively participated in and supported the consultations and meetings organized by Switzerland and the ICRC on the establishment of an IHL compliance mechanisms and regrets that it seems impossible to reach consensus on such a mechanism for the time being. Nonetheless, Austria will continue to promote the strengthening of compliance with IHL wherever possible.
