Actions taken:

    • SRC is part of the Pledge Working Group on “Dead Migrants and their Families”. A plan of action and template for the mapping of the current situation with the authorities was established.

 

 

    • Commitment of the Swiss authorities: SRC is actively advocating for the signing of the pledge by the Swiss authorities and is in contact with all relevant departments of the Swiss administration. Two meetings have taken place so far, paving the way for the signature of the pledge by the Swiss Confederation and subsequently for its joint implementation. The mapping of the current situation depends on the decision of the Swiss Confederation to commit to the pledge or not.

 

 

    • SRC will continue to work on the issue of “dead migrants and information to their families” and also participate in the exchange of best practices
