A) Objetivos de la promesa
The objective of this pledge is to strengthen the institutional capacity of Georgian state authorities, including but not limited to the judiciary, prosecutors, law enforcement personnel, military forces, and medical professionals, through comprehensive training and integration of International Humanitarian Law (IHL) and crisis management principles.
This initiative aims to ensure that relevant national actors are well-equipped with the legal knowledge, practical skills, and ethical guidance needed to operate in full compliance with IHL. By institutionalizing IHL training across key sectors and fostering interagency cooperation, the pledge also seeks to strengthen national resilience, enhance Georgia’s alignment with its international legal obligations, and contribute to regional and global humanitarian norms.
B) Plan de acción
- Develop and integrate specialized modules on International Humanitarian Law (IHL) and crisis management into the training curricula of relevant national institutions.
- Organize regular national workshops and seminars tailored to the professional responsibilities of targeted personnel.
- Further strengthen the role and capacity of the National Interagency Coordinating Commission on International Humanitarian Law as a central platform for coordination, policy development, and oversight of implementation.
C) Indicadores para medir los avances:
- Number of training sessions conducted;
- Number and type of personnel trained;
- National Action Plans adopted by the Interagency Coordinating Commission on International Humanitarian Law of Georgia.
D) Recursos requeridos:
The implementation of the pledge will require the allocation of appropriate financial, human, and technical resources, including:
- Budgetary support from national institutions;
- Engagement of qualified trainers, educators, and administrative personnel;
- Use of digital and physical infrastructure to support outreach and educational activities.
