It is part of the Malaysia Red Crescent Strategic Plan –
Strategic Priority 4 (SP 4) – Migration and identity
Objective 4.1: Migrants and displaced persons have access to humanitarian assistance and protection at key points along migratory routes as
well access to durable solutions when appropriate.
4.1.1 MRC to undertake effective advocacy in support of migrants’ and displaced persons’ access to essential public services.
Objective 4.2: MRC engages with migrants, displaced persons and host communities to more effectively assess, understand and respond to
their priority needs.
4.2.1 MRC to undertake and conduct training and provide clear direction to guide staff and volunteer engagement in the field of
migration and displacement, in line with the targets and commitments of the IFRC Global Migration Strategy and other Movement
frameworks.
4.2.2 MRC integrates and mainstreams migration approaches across its humanitarian activities, tools, and methodologies in the
field of emergency preparedness, response and recovery.
