    Explanation:

    Disaster management figures prominently in the Swiss Red Cross strategy. In the operational plan “Search, Rescue and Disaster Relief”, one field of action is “Disaster Relief”, in which the Swiss Red Cross defines its services in the field of disaster relief, based on the needs of the population and the authorities. The SRC is working closely together with authorities in the preparation for and reaction after disasters in Switzerland.
    One approach is a scientific project focusing on resilience of the Swiss population together with other organizations and academia. In the field of financial disaster relief, the Swiss Red Cross works as partners with Caritas Switzerland.

    Disaster law is an established legal framework in Switzerland respecting the different layers in our federal system. We’re concentrating on regular exchange with the relevant partners, so that in the event of a crisis or a disaster, the relevant people know us and we know them.

    Yes

    Description of the impact:

    The Swiss Red Cross strives to help vulnerable people in Switzerland and works with relevant partners to make sure that the authorities include all vulnerable groups, also those who are difficult to reach, in their planning. If needed, we help the authorities with specific programs to help vulnerable groups that the authorities can’t reach themselves.
