Actions taken:

The Department of Mental Health, Ministry of Public Health has promoted mental health awareness and wellbeing in all groups of population, especially among children and minors. The Department of Mental Health also plays an active role in promoting social psychology and community integrated care schemes in cooperation with local networks, including through the development of accessible mental health service for everyone in the locality known as “Mental Health Anywhere” program.

To raise mental health awareness among law enforcement officers, the Royal Thai Police, in collaboration with the Department of Mental Health, has developed suicidal prevention measures.

With regard to the training of medical and health personnel, the Thai Red Cross Society has integrated psychological first aid in its training programs. A distinct and complete psychological first aid course is currently under development.
