    Explanation:

    Revision of legislations, rules and clinical paths which are relating/involving the response of governmental and non-governmental organisations and other relevant stakeholders. Furthermore, all relevant commitments, agreed at international level were utilized through legislation, policies, and strategies. Nevertheless, resolutions are also taken into the account so the state/NS/institution could successfully tackle with pandemics and epidemics.

    We have shared best practices, evidence-based data and within the process we have made consultation meetings. Our NS played an auxiliary role in relation to our government and/or public authorities during the epidemic situation.

    Details about challenges:

    During the epidemic situation our NS was responding to requests and needs of health care system and from local communities. Our volunteers responded in high numbers, so they needed a good responding and servicing system in behind to support them. As being a small NS, we were responding to the written by small number of employed personnel whereas we have a full understanding of the system. The respond lasted for two and a half years so there were identified additional needs for additional human, technical and financial resources. Because of lack of capacities and support no assessment was made in depth as would be made if there would be more personnel.

    Details about the impact:

    Recognition of need to ensure a predictable and coordinate approaches towards pandemic and epidemic situations. The needs of creating and enhancing partnerships with other humanitarian actors are set in many agendas. Furthermore, development of new innovative tools and methodologies are developing and utilizing so they could be in assistance if similar situations occur in future.

    Recognition to strengthen capacities of local communities.
