    Strategy
    Policy

    At the International, National level

    Explanation:

The Government of Denmark continues to address MHPSS in emergencies through its humanitarian strategic partnerships with both specialized and non-specialized partners. Most notably is the support to the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement’s MHPSS Reference Center (through a partnership with Danish Red Cross) and the MHPSS Collaborative (through a partnership with Save the Children Denmark). Additionally, the Government of Denmark supports specialized organizations working with survivors of torture and violence, as well as a host of humanitarian actors that provide integrated MHPSS activities as part of their humanitarian work.

In 2022, the Government of Denmark co-hosted the first Nordic conference in MHPSS in fragile and humanitarian settings, thereby convening a multi-stakeholder platform around a Copenhagen Declaration and a 2030 Roadmap that in effect enables implementation of the resolution.

MHPSS also features in the Danish Strategy for Development Cooperation – “The World We Share”, which amongst other things promotes locally-led action and the integration of MHPSS across humanitarian efforts.

The Government of Denmark also encourages strengthening of protective systems such as through social safety nets programming and education. Whenever possible, partners are encouraged to integrate MHPSS into their programming and ensure support to caregivers and front-line responders.
