    Dissemination of IHL and the humanitarian principles have been included as one of four main objectives in the Strategy for the Norwegian Red Cross, adopted by our General Assembly.

    Examples of cooperation:

    The Norwegian Red Cross has close cooperation with the Norwegian authorities in the implementation of IHL. We have hosted an annual IHL-seminar with the armed forces and Ministry of Defence, where relevant IHL-related topics have been discussed and the armed forces and public at large been the target audience.

    In the reporting period the pressure current armed conflicts have influenced the domestic and global discussion on the relevance of IHL.

    Training and capacity of staff and volunteers has increased (for National Societies)

    Dissemination of IHL and fundamental principles has become one of the main priorities in our Strategy.

    Description of the impact:

    This is difficult to measure, but we believe that we have reached more people after IHL was included in our strategy and more resources allocated.
