    Description of the impact:

The National Society of the Ecuadorian Red Cross has been developing the SMAPS line of action from the Health and Community Development Program, implementing activities such as Psychological First Aid in emergencies such as in the case of the COVID-19 pandemic, or in disasters such as the El Niño Phenomenon. Having a strengthened national team in Mental Health and with greater experience in SMAPS interventions is the proposal currently developed to provide community psychosocial support services. Through this process, the commitments described in the resolution allow SMAPS to be fundamental, by integrating it into emergencies and has led to understanding the importance of physical and mental health.
