CVTL Safer Access Framework pledge

A) Objectives of the pledge:

Increasing safer access: We, the Red Cross Society of Timor Leste, commit to taking continuing action to increase our acceptance, security and access, in order to more effectively reach more people in need. This action will be anchored in the concrete application of the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and carried out through the implementation of the defined  Safer Access Framework and other Movement tools, such as OCAC.

B) Action plan:

    • Strengthen our headquarters and national/international staff and volunteers’ understanding of the types of actions and measures required to increase acceptance, security and access, including those contained in the Safer Access Framework.

    • Establish a mechanism within the National Society to support and promote the ongoing process of assessing, planning and taking the action required to increase our acceptance, security and access.

    • Align our organizational development, capacity building and emergency preparedness and response strategies, including the implementation of the CVTL defined Safer Access Plan of Action, where possible, in order to strengthen the coherence and complementarity of the Movement’s action in these areas.
