Dissemination of IHL

A) Objectives of the pledge:

 

The Slovak Republic in cooperation with the Slovak Republic Red Cross will continue to

disseminate international humanitarian law between relevant stakeholders on domestic level,

including representatives of state authorities, armed forces, civil society and school system and

students.

 

 

 

 

 

 

B) Action plan:

 

A) Continue to cooperate with relevant institutions and organizations in order to

disseminate international humanitarian law and to raise awareness in that regard.

B) Explore further possibilities on new initiatives as for the dissemination of international

humanitarian law, including the protection of the Red Cross Emblem, by the Slovak

Committee on International Humanitarian Law on a permanent basis.

C) Organize an event on international humanitarian law with a presence of representatives

of governmental as well as non-governmental sector.

C) Indicators for measuring progress:

 

 

Number of initiatives in international humanitarian law field, number of people trained and

informed, increase of knowledge and respect for international humanitarian law.

D) Resource implications:

 

 

Any possible costs will be covered by submitters of this pledge.
