Promote the awareness of inhumanity of nuclear weapons

A) Objectives of the pledge:

As the National Society of the sole country to experience atomic bombing in a war situation, the Japanese Red Cross will seek to achieve the resolutions mentioned in the 2011 and the 2013 Council of Delegates.

B) Action plan:

-Implement, to the extent possible, Four-year action plan.
-Under the leadership of the ICRC and the International Federation, as the National Society of the sole country to experience atomic bombing in a war situation, the Japanese Red Cross will attend public events (e.g. seminars, conferences, presentations, panel discussions) in promoting the Movement position on nuclear weapons.
– Engage actively in hosting public events and enhancing networking with relevant domestic organizations and younger generation in promoting the Movement positions, serving as an intermediary to the next generation.
