The Henry Dunant Medal recognises outstanding service and acts of great devotion, mainly of international significance, to the cause of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement by any of its members. Thanks to the generosity of the Australian Red Cross, the Henry Dunant Medal was established by the International Conference in Vienna in 1965.

Charlie Winston is a writer, producer, singer and performer who has entertained people across the globe for the last 10 years. Working in both Music and Theatre he has touched and inspired people of all ages. Being born and raised in the English Countryside has given Charlie a firm attachment to those things we risk losing if we don’t act soon. While having taken time to observe all the different causes over the years, it led him through a natural journey to the place where he now would like to participate in getting the message out on the various causes that matter to him, and he hopes to encourage others to do likewise. In his words, “its not enough to just think it, you must Say Something!”
